"Welcome back, Ray!"
The Xenos arrived at their "hidden village" on the 27th Floor. Marie, the Mermaid Xenos, welcomed back the beautiful Siren Ray and the others. Each "hidden village" had a Xenos stationed there who acted as a guardian. The one on the 20th Floor was guarded by a Green Dragon, and the one here was guarded by Marie.
After coming back from fulfilling Fels' request, Ray and the others stopped by the 27th Floor.
"Let's sing a song again!"
"We'll be heard by adventurers so let's sing quietly"
As both monsters were known for singing, Marie was especially attached to Ray. One of the causes behind the "song echoing in the labyrinth" phenomenon laughed innocently while the other gave a forced smile.
"Has anything happened recently, Marie?"
"Yup! I met Bell!"
As Marie blushed and smiled, Ray paled in shock.
"By Bell, do you mean the Human Bell?"
"That's right! He was cute, soft...he's my cool Bell! He's the Bell I love!"
Ray was repeatedly shocked upon hearing the name of someone they hadn't told Marie about and the fact that she said something Ray couldn't ignore. Off to the side, the female Xenos such as the Lamia and Harpies gave a squeal and got excited.
"What did you do with Bell, Marie!? You said he was soft, did you touch him!? What did you touch!?"
"Is it a "love romance", is it a "love romance"!? With that person from the surface!?"
"Tell us more!" "Tell us more!" "Fooooo!"
"Laura, Fear! Everyone calm down! Bell-san wouldn't do s-something l-like t-that...!"
An agitated Ray raised her voice toward her fellow Xenos, however-
"Bell ate my thing...it was warm!"
"Whaaaaaaaaaat!?"
Given an answer that was easily misunderstood, the female Xenos gave off cries of delight and screams.
"Hey Lyd, Gros, I think I heard her say Bell"
"You're just hearing things, Wiene..." "Don't go over there...it'll make things worse"
Verbally stopping the dragon girl who was stealing glances at the Mermaid she'd seen for the first time, Lyd and Gros sighed with a tired expression as they covered her ears.
